The class covers the essentials from soil preparation to harvest. Topics include tools and supplies, the importance of site selection, soil preparation, vegetable varieties for Minnesota growers, garden layout and design, where to obtain seeds and transplants, weed and pest control techniques, common diseases and remedies, when to plant and harvest, as well as, tips on storage and preservation. Many helpful handouts are included.
