Watercolor with Pen and Ink
NEW! If you are feeling adventurous and would like to give watercolor a try, this is a class for you! Enjoy learning how to stretch paper, mix and understand how to use color, become familiar with basic elements of design, and of course try out basic watercolor techniques. Then, for added entertainment you will be introduced to pen & ink. Find out how you can incorporate it into your artwork! This class is a great introductory course for those with little to no experience. Come with a willingness to experiment with this fluid style of painting, knowing that you will have guidance every step of the way! You will receive a supply list after registering for the class. KATIE VAN WYNGEEREN has a K-12 teaching license from Luther College. She gained valuable experience while student teaching with an art program at a summer camp. She is eager to get back into the realm of the art world and be surrounded by people who are passionate about creating! Katie prefers watercolor to other media because of its fluidity. She sees it as a great means for expressiveness because it allows a person to relax and forget about rigid boundaries.
